At UCA a variety of funding opportunities are open for PhD students.
Doctoral contract
Offered by the UCA’s doctoral schools and published each spring on their respective websites, doctoral contracts allow PhD students to benefit from a monthly salary for 3 years of their research at UCA.
Long-term research grants
Long-term research grants can meet the needs of doctoral students, particularly in the context of joint supervision. This is the case for Campus France scholarships, government scholarships (by country of origin), CIFRE PhD (agreement on training through research inside a company).
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters and PhD programs.
It gives opportunity to the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries at master’s level, and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at PhD level.
The Hubert Curien Partnerships (PHC)
The Hubert Curien Partnerships (PHC) are part of the policy supporting international scientific and technological exchanges of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and are implemented with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, of Research and Innovation.
Calls for projects
Based on a destiantion and a field of research, a number of call for projects is published on a regular basis by our Project Engineering Service.
For Italian students, Vinci Project by Université Franco-Italienne offers research grants to carry out cotutelle in France every year (spring).
For German students and French students willing to establish cotutelle with a German university, a number of study grants are provided by DAAD.
